Parkour specialist Ali Kadhim honoured with Australia Council Award

THE Australia Council for the Arts has leapt at the opportunity to award parkour practitioner Ali Kadhim with the prestigious Kirk Robson Award last Tuesday.
Kadhim is a movement coach, stunt performer and filmmaker who founded Fairfield parkour crew Team 9Lives. He has taught the sport around the Fairfield community and wider Sydney for more than 10 years.
Kadhim said he was “surprised” to receive the award, which celebrates extraordinary leadership from young people working in community arts and cultural development.
“I feel honoured and very grateful, especially to the special people who nominated me,” Kadhim said.
